For the duration of the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Stumpy Meadows Lake, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Stumpy Meadows Lake. Camping is available at Vista Overflow Campground, and glide down the rapids of Rubicon River in a kayak. Any time is a great time at Stumpy Meadows Lake if you go for the outdoors. Stumpy Meadows Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and don't leave Stumpy Meadows Lake without first going for a hike along the Belix Trail. If you desire a little side journey, try Ballard Ravine; there are great locations to discover along                  the Grizzly Canyon Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stumpy Meadows is a pretty spot any time of year, and if you came for an overnight stay Ghost Mountain RV Campground is a tremendous place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pigeon Roost Trail is always a good adventure; a delightful close by hotel is Best Western Stagecoach Inn. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. So many fun things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just striking. You'll meet a lot of folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here; why not pop by Mark Edson Dam while you're here.
