It is beautiful there and lots of fun! Dave Bishop: Do not go to Stumpy Meadows. You will not like the horrible screech of the osprey and eagle as they swoop down to steal our fish, nor will you appreciate the lack of television or telephone reception. So many exciting things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too wonderful to be true. Brush Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by. There's so much to do here at Stumpy Meadows Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Vista Overflow Campground is a good spot for that. A pleasant tour       to Stumpy Meadows is a delightful way to spend an afternoon; if you need a site to stay NATIONAL 9 INN is a great choice. Through the warm months highs here at Stumpy Meadows Lake reach the 90's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows at Stumpy Meadows Lake throughout the winter regularly fall into the 30's. Man, is there a load of amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You'll                  meet a lot of people from Truckee-Grass Valley here, and going for a hike on the Grizzly Canyon Trail is always a great adventure. Going for a hike on the Belix Trail is always a delightful adventure, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rubicon River. Stumpy Meadows Lake regularly gets a large amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful.
