If you get bored of Strawberry Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Red Lake; from Strawberry Lake you get a brilliant sight of Red Mountain. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Strawberry Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kokanee Campground is a pleasant location for that, and going for a hike on the Bobs Flat       Trail is always a pleasant adventure. The yearly rainfall here at Strawberry Lake is about average; during January this area sees the most rain while July is frequently the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Strawberry Lake. If you came to camp College Campground is a great site to do that, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Red                  Mountain Trail. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Strawberry Lake is not the only location nearby, Mirror Lake is a nearby lake, and after a long day outdoors Snowcreek Resort is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Coyote Creek flows through this neighborhood, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sierra Summit. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Strawberry Lake called the Deep Creek Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Dinkey Creek offers some brilliant whitewater. High temperatures at Strawberry Lake throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 40's.
