This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Straube Lake you can take a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and while you're here, you could also take a look at pretty Alstot Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a nice time. A magnificent nearby hotel is Heidelberg Inn, and everyone close by loves skiing at June Mountain. | | go home again. The panorama of charming Iron Mountain near Straube Lake is fine, and the slopes of Mammoth Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. During the days of summer highs here at Straube Lake reach the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. a place to stay Mammoth Mountain Inn is a magnificent choice, and a pleasant journey to Buckhorn Meadow is a nice way to spend an afternoon. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return back
home again. Hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 2 is tremendous fun, and you can stay the night at Granite Creek Campground. From a rain point of view Straube Lake is a quite common place; through the month of January you get
the most rain around here; June is the month with the least moisture. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Straube Lake has to offer, you can camp at Clover Meadow Campground, and get soaked paddling on San Joaquin River
- Middle Fork. Straube Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Mammoth Rock Trail, and drift down the rapids of Mono Creek in a kayak.
