Pine Cone Acre Motel is a brilliant spot to       get some rest, and at Stony Ridge Lake you can catch a glimpse of Jakes Peak. The amount of precipitation that falls at Stony Ridge Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. So much entertaining stuff to do at Stony Ridge Lake, so little time. Whitewater paddling is good on American River - South Fork, and dry warm beds await you at Granlibakken                  Lodge and Conference Center. This lake is so wonderful. Phipps Pass is a splendid spot to take a look at nearby, and Sierra at Tahoe is a brilliant local ski area. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Stony Ridge Lake called the Red Peak Trail, and the skiing at Homewood is fine. The warmest time of the year at Stony Ridge Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Stony Ridge Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Just can't get enough of Stony Ridge Lake.
