This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit American
River - South Fork, and charming scenery and fine skiing is what you acquire at Sierra at Tahoe. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Stony Ridge Lake called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and you can always enjoy a lazy
day on the beach at Calawee Cove Beach. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Stony Ridge Lake; the nighttime is quite chillier of course, usually in the 40's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 40's, and
overnight lows at Stony Ridge Lake during the wintertime regularly plunge into the 10's.
