    What a nice lake Stone Lagoon is. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Looking for something in the vicinity of Stone Lagoon? Dry Lagoon is in close proximity; a glorious location to camp here at Stone Lagoon is Agate Campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Stone Lagoon a wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. High temperatures at Stone Lagoon throughout the  
   warm days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Stone Lagoon.
This lake is so wonderful. Do schedule some time to pop by Lookout Point in close proximity to Stone Lagoon if you have a chance; going for a hike along the Elk Prairie Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Stone Lagoon is
 
               right by the Agate Beach Trail; one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Agate Beach. A pleasant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Arcata/Eureka-Arpt Area (Mckin, and it's a tremendous idea to visit McDonald Creek.
Stone Lagoon is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Redwood Creek, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Freshwater Lagoon is just a very short distance away. You can run the rapids of Klamath River right next door to Stone Lagoon.
So many exciting things to do in the Coast Ranges, not sufficient time. If you need a location to stay Emerald Forest Of Trinidad is a splendid choice, and Stone Lagoon is great enough to spend more than a day at, Redwood Trails is a great local campground. Any time is a tremendous time at Stone Lagoon if you like the outdoors. Hiking along the Rim Trail is nice fun; while you're here at Stone Lagoon, checking out Freshwater Rocks is a must.
