California has many beautiful lakes and Stick Lake is one of them. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eel River - Middle Fork, and Hammerhorn Campground is a good campground nearby. So much fun stuff to do here at Stick Lake, too good to be true. A fine close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Willits, and at Stick Lake you can see Leech Lake Mountain. All through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 90's at

Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Stick Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Klamath Mountains. A short journey to Bear Trap Spring is always worthwhile, and there's splendid hiking along the Wrights Valley Trail.
