There is a great hiking trail       close to Stevens Lake called the Charity Valley Trail; this is a popular place for folks from Gardnerville Ranchos. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's so much to do here at Stevens Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Creek Campground is a perfect place for that, and Stevens Lake is not the only location close by, Summit Lake is a close by lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood.                  On a pleasant day at Stevens Lake you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail, and a lake close by is Indian Creek Reservoir. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is always a brilliant adventure, and dry warm beds await you at David Walley's Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Stevens Lake while night lows are mostly in the 40's.
