     Stevens Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Hit the slopes at Heavenly in the vicinity; if you need a spot to stay Carson Valley Inn is a fine choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail
 
   close to Stevens Lake called the Charity Valley Trail; this is a popular place for folks from Gardnerville Ranchos. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's so much to do here at Stevens Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Creek Campground is a perfect place for that, and Stevens Lake is not the only location close by, Summit Lake is a close by lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood.
 
               On a pleasant day at Stevens Lake you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail, and a lake close by is Indian Creek Reservoir. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is always a brilliant adventure, and dry warm beds await you at David Walley's Resort. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to take a look at in the vicinity of Stevens Lake is Diamond Valley, and hey, Randall Creek is a great local stream.
Stevens Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Turtle Rock Campgrounds is a magnificent local campground; Carson River - East Fork has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Stevens Lake while night lows are mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Stevens Lake descend into the 10's.
