Go to Steelhead Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. So many cool things to do here at Steelhead Lake, too fine to be true. A wonderful site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Steelhead Lake is Mono Creek, and a day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just what you need. High temperatures at Steelhead Lake through the months of summer are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's

| | while the cold winter nights at Steelhead Lake are in the 20's. It is very dry here at Steelhead Lake mostly; through the month of January you get the most rain around here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork, and Mount Crocker is pretty and can be spotted from here. This | |

lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Crowley Campground is a good location to camp, and Devils Postpile National Monument is a great local destination. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful.
And that's not all there is to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Creek Inn; if you're here you can take a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail. The skiing at June Mountain is brilliant, and you
can have a good hiking adventure along the Sherwin Lakes Trail.
So much entertaining stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just astonishing. After a long day outdoors Mammoth Lakes Travelodge is a great spot to spend a night or
two; a pleasant spree to Pioneer Basin is a fine way to spend an afternoon. A lake close by is Crocker Lake, and why not camp at Upper McGee Creek Campground if you're here at Steelhead Lake.
