    A visit to Star Lakes is always a good idea. Star Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. Summertime at Star Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Star Lakes. You truly must like the Central Sierra Nevada. Yosemite National Park is a brilliant location close to Star Lakes, and  
   paddling on Willow Creek is so much fun.
And that's not all you can do here at Star Lakes. The summit of Mount Raymond can be seen from Star Lakes; there are fine spots to explore along the Chilnualna Fall Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Star Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Little Sandy Campground; don't leave Star Lakes without first going for a hike along the Mono Meadow Trail.
Man, is there loads of entertaining things to
 
               do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Don't forget to take a good little journey to Crescent Creek, and Biledo Meadow is a perfect place to check out. Star Lakes is not the only spot close by, Bare Island Lake is a close by lake, and after a long day outdoors Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a glorious place to spend a night or two. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area right next door to Star Lakes has to offer. Stay the night at Fresno Dome Campground, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Merced River - South Fork.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Star Lakes? Minnow Lake is in close proximity; if you need a place to stay Ahwahnee Hotel is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Badger Pass are so inviting nobody can resist; glorious hiking is available along the Buena Vista Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Star Lakes is close to the national average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
