Get yourself into a kayak and hit Feather River - North Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Silver Bowl Campground is a wonderful site to camp. Star Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. Bond Valley is near Star Lake and is definitely a tremendous site to go to It's always great to pop by Rock Spring. These       mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Take a look at nearby The Hole; lakes are such calm locations, why not check out Echo Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Star Lake is close to the national average; during January this area sees the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Any time is a delightful time at Star Lake if you fancy the outdoors. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 16 is a great                  hiking trail right next door to Star Lake; after a long day outdoors Bailey Creek Cottages is a great place to spend a night or two. If time allows, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a national park worth checking out, and why not camp at Rocky Knoll Campground if you're here at Star Lake. One of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Star Lake is Star Butte, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Lassen Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a charming lake called Trail Lake near Star Lake, and Best Western Rose Quartz Inn is a good place to get some rest. High temperatures at Star Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's.
