Throughout the months of summer at Stanford Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Stanford Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. A day on the slopes of June Mountain is just what you need, and if you need a location to stay Mammoth Creek Inn is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. | | a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and Stanford Lake is not the only place nearby, Hilton Creek Lakes is a nearby lake. That right there is a load of fun things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. There's wonderful hiking along the Mammoth Rock Trail; Upper McGee Creek Campground is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - South Fork. Devils Postpile National Monument is a great spot in the neighborhood of Stanford Lake. The snow is great
at Mammoth Mountain, and a glorious spot like Pioneer Basin here at Stanford Lake is too delightful to miss. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. This place, Stanford Lake, it just has so much outdoors exciting
stuff. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Mono Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Lakes Travelodge. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. If you
get bored of Stanford Lake, you could also visit nearby Davis Lake, and Stanford Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Lake Outlet Campground is a pleasant place to camp nearby. Stanford Lake is pretty waterless generally; most of the rain falls throughout January, and the driest month of the year is June.
