lots of entertaining things to do in the Coast Ranges. A tour to Muir Woods National Monument is recommended; a golf course close by is Indian Valley Golf Club. Stafford Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. This
lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at San Francisco-Days Inn Novato, and Bowman Canyon is a great place to spend some time. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too good to be true. Camping is available
at Novato RV Park, and there are good sites to look at along the Colier Spring Trail. Stafford Lake mostly gets a lot of rain; January is when you get the most rain here; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
Camping at El Novato Trailer Court is always a pleasant experience, and after a long day outdoors Novato Travelodge is a great spot to spend a night or two.

Camping Trips
 | 17 miles away I have had the displeasure of staying at a campsite called Coloma Resort on the South Fork of the American River. If you're not a church group or over 65 this place is not for you. We were harassed by the management constantly and were told to go to bed at 10:00pm on a Saturday night. Nothing in their rules said laughing and the Beatles were not allowed. This is the type of place that will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money. The campsite was extremely crowded even the 3rd week of August. My advice is to go else where, anywhere else but here!... |
