During the warm months, highs mostly are in the 90's at Square Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Square Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Ides Cove National Recreation Trail is nice fun; Slides Glade is a great site to stretch your legs       a bit. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains, not enough time. If you haven’t been to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here, and a great place to camp here at Square Lake is Tomhead Saddle Campground. This place, Square Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A nice location for whitewater paddling near Square Lake is Beegum Creek, and one of the dominant highlights of                  the surroundings of Square Lake is Linn Mount. The amount of rain that falls at Square Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest month of the year is July. You can run the rapids of Thomes Creek in close proximity to Square Lake; why not camp at Saddle Camp Campground while you're here at Square Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. While you're here at Square Lake you can take a hike along the Lazyman Butte Trail, and if you've had enough of Square Lake, Long Lake is nearby. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the South Fork Cottonwood Trail, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes?
