An average amount of rainfall falls at Spencer Lakes; January is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is a load of exciting things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. The top of Mount Washington is easily seen from Spencer Lakes; on a good day you can take a hike along the Eureka Lake Trail.       The Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Spencer Lakes. For the period of the days of summer at Spencer Lakes highs are usually in the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Spencer Lakes overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. Florentine Canyon is close to Spencer Lakes and is undeniably a delightful place to take a look at, and                  there are other sites here than Spencer Lakes, for example Hawley Lake. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Chalet View Lodge is a brilliant site to get some rest; do set aside some time for Hawley Meadow if you're here at Spencer Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Spencer Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Ross Campground is a nice place for that, and float down the rapids of Yuba River - North Fork in a kayak. You definitely must have a thing about Spencer Lakes. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because The Golf Club at Whitehawk Ranch is close by; dry warm beds await you at Chalet View Lodge. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lavezzola Creek, and Spencer Lakes is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Jamison Campground is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Near Spencer Lakes you discover the Butcher Ranch Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and why not take a little tour to Spencer Creek if you're here.
