The beauty of Spencer Lake is reason enough to stop by. The Trappers Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Spencer Lake, and of course Easton Creek flows through this neighborhood. Dunes Beach is close to Spencer Lake and is a charming beach to have a look at, and after a long day outdoors San Francisco Airport South Travelodge is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. a rainfall point of view Spencer Lake is a rather normal place; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. At Spencer Lake you always meet someone from
San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont; on a wonderful day you can take a look at Naples Beach. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by San Andreas Lake; while you're here and you like golf, you can
stop at Crystal Springs Golf Course. On a delightful day at Spencer Lake you can take a hike along the Alambique Trail. Lakes? Sure, Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Francis Beach
Campground is a splendid campground nearby; the vistas at Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail will blow your mind. Summer at Spencer Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the
50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Spencer Lake tend to be in the 30's.

 | 17 miles away I have had the displeasure of staying at a campsite called Coloma Resort on the South Fork of the American River. If you're not a church group or over 65 this place is not for you. We were harassed by the management constantly and were told to go to bed at 10:00pm on a Saturday night. Nothing in their rules said laughing and the Beatles were not allowed. This is the type of place that will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money. The campsite was extremely crowded even the 3rd week of August. My advice is to go else where, anywhere else but here!... |
