Cabrillo National Monument is a very good place to visit near South Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Los Penasquitos Creek, and an afternoon playing golf at Twin Oaks Golf Course is always a joy. At South Lake you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is frequently the driest month. On a good day at South Lake you       can take a hike along the Mission Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at South Lake, you can go for a hike along the Magee Trail, and why not camp at Elfin Forest Vacation Ranch since you're here at South Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Escondido Creek is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of South Lake, and Twin Oaks Valley is another perfect place to go to close by. The summit                  of Double Peak can be distinguished from South Lake, and do have a look at Jacks Lake, it's a beautiful lake. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for South Lake. If you need a location to stay Lake San Marcos Resort & Country Club is a delightful choice, and you'll discover a pretty lake called Discovery Lake. Throughout the summertime at South Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 40's for South Lake.
