This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Bear Valley is one of those things you just must do, and Dry Meadow is a great site to check out. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Sourgrass Lake. Chinaman Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at; at       Afterbay Dam in close proximity to Sourgrass Lake there are some interesting things to see. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. If you came to camp Sierra Campground is a brilliant spot to do that, and you can go for a hike on the Emigrant Trail. Sourgrass Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Do pop by Lyons Reservoir right next door to Sourgrass Lake, it's a pretty lake, and in the event that you don't mind                  getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stanislaus River - South Fork. There's so much to do here at Sourgrass Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sand Bar Flat Campground is a delightful site for that; the smiling folks of Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Dodge Ridge while you're here, and Stanislaus River - North Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. You'll locate a picturesque lake called Beardsley Lake near Sourgrass Lake, and Best Western Sonora Oaks is a splendid location to get some rest. High temperatures at Sourgrass Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's.
