Be careful coming to Sotcher Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Camping is available at Reds Meadow Campground, and going for a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Snow Canyon is always fun, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mammoth Mountain. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Sotcher Lake. | | descend down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Sotcher Lake. If the weather is good here at Sotcher Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and a short journey to Minaret Falls is always worthwhile. but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A quick visit to Boundary Creek in the neighborhood of Sotcher Lake is a great idea, and if you need a place to stay Snowbird Condos at Mammoths Canyon
Lodge is a good choice. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is so good! You're perhaps keen on lakes, Reds Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not
for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork; the slopes of June Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's
just no way anyone can get bored here at Sotcher Lake. Get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Mono Creek, and why not camp at Minaret Falls Campground if you're here at Sotcher Lake. And if that's not sufficient there's
a load more cool things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Pumice Flat is a pretty place any time of year, and if you want to stop at some interesting stuff, stop at The Buttresses. Lakes are great; Starkweather Lake is a lake that's
right next door to Sotcher Lake; the John Muir Trail - section 2 is a good hiking trail close by. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Sotcher Lake; through January this area sees the most rain, and June is when it's the driest.
