     Snowslide Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is frequently the driest month. Snowslide Lake is right by the Deacon Lee Trail, and a striking lake like Caribou Lake is a perfect location to go to. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Klamath Mountains. Get drenched paddling on Coffee Creek;

   the vista of Caribou Mountain is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the summertime months here at Snowslide Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's with night lows in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's, and night lows at Snowslide Lake throughout the wintertime commonly dip into the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Salmon River - South Fork; Big Flat Campground is

               a great local campground. Hiking along the Tanners Peak Trail is tremendous fun, and Snowslide Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Ripstein Campground is a good location to camp nearby. Looking for a place called Coffee Creek Resort in the mid-70's.   Had a lodge and A-frame cabins, you could hike a trail up to Lake Josephine from the lodge.  Hoping it is still around now that we are back in California....

Wake up and start dreaming! Your vacation destination is right here, just 35 minutes from Redding, California, on the wild and scenic Trinity River. Our private park is proud of its 6-acres of grassy open-space, stretching along this magnificent river. Our park is truly a fisherman's paradise, with its open banks and famous fishing waters -- fantastic for catching steelhead, salmon and Trophy German browns. And the action is year-round!

Ready to relax at base camp? We provide an irresistible setting. Picture your RV nestled under large shady maples with green lawns stretching out to the river. Herds of deer roaming free and the sound of ospreys hunting the river. Your site is spacious, with full hookups. For tent campers we have camping on the river bank! And hot showers. Kids of all ages will love our clear swimming lagoon. We've got something for everyone, so bring the whole family!

I WALKED FROM MAIN ROAD TO TRAILHEAD ON 4-22-09. HEAVY SNOW DRIFTS, TRAILHEAD IS UNDER ABOUT 48'' OF FROZEN SNOW. NOT RECOMMENDED TO HIKE ALONE, YOU WILL SINK A DOZEN TIMES OR SO UP TO YOUR WAIST! I CHICKENED OT ABOUT 1/2 WAY UP THE TRAIL I COULDN'T SEE UNDERNEATH THE SNOW AND BOULDERS. I BET THE FISHING IS RIGHT ON!...

I worked at a couple marinas in the late 70's and early 80's. The fishing was great, skiing was great, camping was great! Yep, a GREAT place to work or live near. The BEST for a vacation away from the city....
