This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Bear Valley is delightful, and Stanislaus River - North Fork has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If the weather is delightful here at Snowshoe Lake, you can go for a hike along the Emigrant Trail, and Camp Connell is a fine local campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in       the 90's to Snowshoe Lake while night lows are commonly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Snowshoe Lake. So much cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sonora Oaks is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Cold Spring is an inspiring place to explore while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here                  at Snowshoe Lake you can play some golf at Meadowmont Golf Course; Squaw Hollow Campground is a delightful campground nearby. If you need a location to stay Sonora Days Inn is a wonderful choice, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Snowshoe Lake gets lots of water; most of the rain falls through January; July meanwhile is the driest month. French Meadow is a great site to check out; most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Fly in Acres Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly plentiful here at Snowshoe Lake. Nearby Squaw Hollow is a perfect place to go if you're at Snowshoe Lake, and the trees of North Grove are a brilliant source of shade on hot summer days. During your journey to Snowshoe Lake you'll meet some folks from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge for sure.
