If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Snake Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. All year is a pleasant time in the Klamath Mountains if you like the outdoors. A visit to Sweaty Gulch is always fun, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Klamath River. | | see Buck Peak. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Snake Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Snake Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Indian Creek Klamath Tributary. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too great to be true. Cook and Green Campground is a glorious campground here, and hiking is
a popular thing to do around Snake Lake; Boundary National Recreation Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Snake Lake is perfect fun, Fort Goff Campground is a perfect local campground, and you have to
unquestionably dedicate some time to Cedar Basin while you're here at Snake Lake. Lots of people from Grants Pass come to Snake Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Horse Camp Trail. All the water falling down from the
sky makes Snake Lake a wet location; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
