     Snake Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. Cedar Basin is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit; you can stay the night at Fort Goff Campground. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is plentiful here in the Klamath Mountains. On a glorious day at Snake Lake you can take a hike along the Horse Camp Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Klamath River offers some pleasant whitewater.
If you want a great time in the great
 
   outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Do go to Lonesome Lake in close proximity to Snake Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Indian Creek Klamath Tributary. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Snake Lake there are plenty of people from Grants Pass. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Snake Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cook and Green Campground, and going for a hike along  
               the Boundary National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
While you're here at Snake Lake you can take a hike along the Low Gap Trail; Azalea Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Snake Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month is July. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Snake Lake reach the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Snake Lake temperatures dip to the 30's.
And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do close to Snake Lake. From Snake Lake you get a fine vista of Buck Peak, and Sweaty Gulch is another great location to pop by nearby.
