The beauty of Snake Lake attracts many people from all around. The annual rain here at Snake Lake is about average; most of the snow falls during January while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cleghorn Bar Trail is always a perfect adventure, and Smith Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Snake Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Near Snake Lake you discover the

| | Claremont Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and camping is available at Chilcoot - Plumas National Forest. Snake Lake Valley is a fine spot to pop by close by; if you need a place to stay The Union Hotel is a pleasant choice. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are nice places to look at along the Finger Board Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Haskins Valley Inn. This lake is so wonderful. | |

If you come at the right time of year, Indian Creek Feather Tributary offers some fine whitewater. Summertime at Snake Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold
days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Snake Lake are in the 20's. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Snake Lake. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes.
Smith Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and a great location to camp here at Snake Lake is Evergreen Motel and Trailer Park. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you're
here at Snake Lake, you could check out Rock Creek, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Feather River - Middle Fork.
