    If you are in Sierra county it's always a good idea to stop by Snag Lake. Snag Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A typical amount of rain falls here at Snag Lake; January is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. And that's not all you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Diablo Campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Church Creek.
So much exciting stuff in
 
   the Northern Sierra Nevada, just mind-boggling. Yuba River - North Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Snag Lake; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Snag Lake. While you're here at Snag Lake you can play some golf at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course; here at Snag Lake you can make out Millis Peak. All the outdoors cool stuff in the vicinity of Snag Lake will keep you coming back many times. Lakes? Sure, Haven Lake is  
               in close proximity.
At Snag Lake during the summer months highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Snag Lake tend to be in the 20's. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 is a delightful hiking trail close to Snag Lake, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lavezzola Creek. A glorious place to camp here at Snag Lake is Snag Lake Campground, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail.
Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Snag Lake is so good! Do stop at Snag Lake Dam if you're here at Snag Lake, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Royal Gorge. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Chalet View Lodge is a great choice; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Butcher Ranch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Church Meadows is a stunning place any time of year; Deer Creek Inn is a splendid location to get some rest.
