Snag Lake is a lake worth visiting. Snag Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Snag Lake Campground is a good local campground; a great place for whitewater paddling is Lavezzola Creek. All year is a good time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you like the outdoors. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Snag Lake is one of those nearby, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15. Camping at Diablo Campground

you at Royal Gorge, and do take a hike on the Deer Lake Trail. High temperatures at Snag Lake throughout the summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with
highs in the 40's with temperatures at Snag Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Snag Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; the month with most of the rain is January while July is usually the driest month.
