Get wet paddling on Yuba River - North Fork. Lakes? Sure, Lily Lake is in close proximity. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Smith Lake; throughout the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. This place is unbeatable, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do near Smith Lake. Not far from Smith Lake, you'll stumble on Hidden Lake       which is a picturesque lake, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; skiing at Royal Gorge is one of those things you just must do. Throughout the warm months at Smith Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends                  down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Smith Lake. Having a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is trouble-free. The top of Mount Elwell is easily observed from Smith Lake, and you can stay the night at Movin' West Trailer Ranch. The Golf Club at Whitehawk Ranch is a golf course near Smith Lake, and going for a hike along the Eureka Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. While you're here at Smith Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Fern Falls. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer.
