Summertime highs at Siphon Lake usually tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Siphon Lake temperatures drop to the       20's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Klamath Mountains has to offer. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Tanners Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Siphon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Idlewild Campground is a brilliant place for that, and as expected Fish Lake                  Creek is a lovely stream that is worth going to. Just can't get enough of Siphon Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Siphon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trail Creek Campground, and from Siphon Lake you acquire a glorious panorama of Russian Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Salmon River - South Fork, and lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Waterdog Lake. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a great site to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Garden Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Klamath Mountains is peerless! There are other sites here than Siphon Lake, for example Russian Lake, and hiking along the Deacon Lee Trail is great fun.
