A visit to Siphon Lake is always a good idea. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Klamath Mountains. There's so much to do here at Siphon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Idlewild Campground is a good site for that; if the weather is delightful, you obtain a good sight of Russian Peak from Siphon Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - South Fork, and don't leave Siphon Lake without first going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Siphon Lake.
