Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Silver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fern Falls is always fun to check out, and dry warm beds await you at Deer Creek Inn. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada.       Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not stop by Cub Lake near Silver Lake; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - North Fork. So much fun stuff near Silver Lake, absolutely extraordinary. There are other locations here than Silver Lake, for example Round Lake, and you can stay the night at Snag Lake Campground. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Silver Lake. If you like                  the outdoors you'll like it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Enjoy a round of golf at The Golf Club at Whitehawk Ranch not far from Silver Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Silver Lake; Eureka Lake Trail is a great local trail. Good hiking is available along the Deer Lake Trail; after a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two. The skiing at Royal Gorge is good, and locations like Lakes Basin are tremendous to take a look at. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Jamison Campground is a good campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is fine on Lavezzola Creek. Mount Elwell is a peak you can see from Silver Lake; don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15.
