Why not camp at Aspen Hollow - Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park if you're here at Silliman Lake; there's whitewater on Kaweah River for all you adrenaline people. At Silliman Lake you can make out Mount Silliman, and everyone loves Tokopah Valley. Through the days of summer at Silliman Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.       High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Silliman Lake sink into the 20's. Be careful coming to the Southern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return back home again. A perfect place near Silliman Lake is Crowley Canyon; Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is a perfect local destination. There are some fine whitewater spots on Kaweah River - Middle Fork, and a good                  spot to camp here at Silliman Lake is Log Bridge Campground. If the weather is good here at Silliman Lake, you can go for a hike along the Don Cecil Trail, and if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn At Sequoia National Park is a glorious choice. That right there is a heap of cool things already but it goes on, the Southern Sierra Nevada has it all. You'll meet a lot of people from Visalia-Porterville here; a lake nearby is Twin Lakes. The Southern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Have a great hiking adventure along the High Sierra Trail, and Silliman Lake is not the only site close by, Heather Lake is a close by lake. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do close to Silliman Lake. Going for a hike along the Sheep Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. An average amount of rainfall falls at Silliman Lake; January is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
