If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Siesta Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Yosemite National Park is a very delightful place to explore right next door to Siesta Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Siesta Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Tuolumne River offers some good whitewater, and why not camp at Porcupine Flat Campground since you're here at Siesta Lake. Dry warm beds

| | await you at The Ahwahnee, and Lukens Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Having a nice time in the Central Sierra Nevada is easy. Drift down the rapids of Yosemite Creek in a kayak; McSwain Meadows is a stunning site any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. Trail. Siesta Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain while July is mostly the driest month. At Siesta Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's; the night is a tad cooler of
course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Siesta Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
