Be careful coming to Showers Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Hiking along the Charity Valley Trail is wonderful fun; you'll meet a lot of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here. Showers Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the snow falls through January, and July on the other hand is the driest. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up       to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Very beautiful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Kirkwood, and Showers Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Alpine Campground is a wonderful local campground. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Showers Lake. After a long day outdoors The Meadow is a nice place to spend a night or two, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sierra at Tahoe if you're here. If you                  need a site to stay Meadowstone is a wonderful choice, and close by you find great spots like Dixon Canyon. These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Burnside Lake Trail; you obtain a splendid sight of Little Round Top from here. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork. Four Lakes is a great lake near Showers Lake, and if you came to camp Caples Lake Campground is a good location to do that. Summertime highs at Showers Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Showers Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
