This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. Having a perfect time in the Southern Cascade Range is uncomplicated. Near Shotoverin Lake you stumble on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16 which is a pleasant hiking trail. Lakes are brilliant; Betty Lake is a lake that's right next door to Shotoverin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Shotoverin Lake has to       offer, you can camp at Rocky Knoll Campground, and don't miss out on a splendid swamp; Cooper Swamp is right here at Shotoverin Lake. During the summer months at Shotoverin Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Shotoverin Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Dry                  warm beds await you at Best Western Rose Quartz, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is a wonderful local destination. If you need a spot to stay Bailey Creek Cottages is a delightful choice, and Cummings Spring is always fun to check out. It is very arid here at Shotoverin Lake typically; most of the rain falls through January, and July is when it's the driest. There's so much to do here at Shotoverin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Bowl Campground is a tremendous spot for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Trail Lake.
