After a long day outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and hey, Gotta ski right? Soda Springs is a pleasant location to do that. Dry warm beds await you at Chalet View Lodge; during your tour here you'll meet some people from Truckee-Grass Valley for sure. So many cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Shotgun Lake is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Grouse Ridge Campground       is a glorious spot to camp nearby, and the Round Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Shotgun Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This site is great, just look at all the cool things to do near Shotgun Lake. This site, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining things. Stay the night at Canyon Creek Campground, and the slopes of Royal Gorge are so inviting noone can resist. During the warmest time of the year at Shotgun Lake                  temperatures are commonly in the 90's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Shotgun Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 20's. So many entertaining things to do at Shotgun Lake, so little time. A quick tour to Jackson Creek near Shotgun Lake is a brilliant idea, and there's magnificent hiking along the Crooked Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Penner Lake, and you can run the rapids of Fordyce Creek. Lakes are great; Middle Lake is a lake that's near Shotgun Lake, and Yuba River - South Fork is a good whitewater spot nearby. From a rain point of view Shotgun Lake is a reasonably typical place; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
