Many people like to go to Shirley Lake. Throughout the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Shirley Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Shirley Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Bear Creek Campground is a nice site to camp, and if you need a location to stay Squaw Valley Lodge is a delightful choice. This

rain; January is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. If you're here at Shirley Lake, you could pop by Chief Creek, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Alpine Meadows. The Northern
Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Yeah, come here to Shirley Lake for a nice time. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Squaw Valley while you're here, and drift down the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork
in a kayak. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If the weather is brilliant here at Shirley Lake, you can go for a hike along the Big Spring Trail, and Splitrock Campground
is a glorious local campground. If you get bored of Shirley Lake, you could also go to close by Five Lakes, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Painted Rock Trail.
