What a nice lake Ship Mountain Lake is. Goose Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Ship Mountain Lake, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Elk Camp Ridge Trail. So many fun things to do at Ship Mountain Lake, so little time. If you came to camp Cedar Rustic Campground is a great location to do that, and the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. If you want a great time in the

winter nights. A perfect location for whitewater paddling near Ship Mountain Lake is Hurdygurdy Creek, and Ship Mountain Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Bend RV and Mobile Park is a great local campground.
The high level of rain makes Ship Mountain Lake a pretty wet site; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest.
