    If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Shimmy Lake. There's so much to do here at Shimmy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Goldfish Campground is a good location for that, and if you're looking for a tremendous visit, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is relatively near. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Lilypad Lake while you're here at Shimmy  
   Lake; it's nearby, and some close by water includes Granite Creek.
You simply have to adore the Klamath Mountains. A brilliant place like Deer Flat here at Shimmy Lake is too magnificent to miss, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Coffee Creek. Nearby Granite Canyon is a splendid site to go if you're at Shimmy Lake, and Ycatapom Peak is easy to spot from Shimmy Lake. These mountains rock, just explore all the fun things to do in the Klamath Mountains.
 
               Looking for something in close proximity to Shimmy Lake? Twin Lakes is around here; if you came to camp Goldfield Campground is a good location to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Shimmy Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows during the wintertime for Shimmy Lake tend to be in the 20's. Shimmy Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
Just can't get enough of Shimmy Lake. Going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Trinity River is a perfect whitewater spot nearby.
