The beauty of Sherwin Lakes is reason enough to stop by. The Sherwin Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best; why not head up to June Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Take a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2. Around Sherwin Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest month of the year is June.
There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Mono Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Mammoth

| | Creek Inn. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Devils Postpile National Monument is a very nice place to pop by in the vicinity of Sherwin Lakes, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - South Fork.

is a great place. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining things. Crowley Lake Campland is a great campground here, and Mammoth Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. So much enjoyable stuff
to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Some nearby water includes Sherwin Creek; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Snowcreek Golf Course is around here.
But wait, there's more to do next to Sherwin
Lakes. You could also pop by Lost Lake if you're here at Sherwin Lakes; it's nearby, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a great choice. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Sherwin Lakes, and the overnight
is slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Sherwin Lakes nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
