If you are traveling by, why not stop by Sheffield Reservoir. At Sheffield Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; February is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the Santa Ynez Mountains has to offer. A day at West Beach in the vicinity of Sheffield Reservoir is time well spent, and Sheffield Reservoir is not the only site close by, Vic Trace

During your stay at Sheffield Reservoir do stop at close by East Beach, and Santa Barbara Golf Club is a good golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Sheffield Reservoir you can take a hike along the Jesusita Trail, and Mission Canyon is a perfect spot to spend some time. the 90's at Sheffield Reservoir. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Sheffield Reservoir temperatures drop to the 30's.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff near Sheffield Reservoir. If the weather is good here at Sheffield Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Tunnel Trail; a quick journey to Mission Creek is certainly a pleasant
idea. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Santa Ynez Mountains is excellent! Dry warm beds await you at Simpson House Inn; if you came to camp Ocean Mesa Campground is a good place to do that. If you're visiting Sheffield
Reservoir from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta, you won't be the only one. The Arroyo Burro Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Sheffield Reservoir, and a lake nearby is Lauro Canyon Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
After a long day outdoors Inn of the Spanish Garden is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Sheffield Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Santa Barbara County Park Dept is a delightful place for that.

 | 18 miles away This trail is gone without a trace, and is only visible on topographic maps dating from before the 1970s. Even on high-resolution aerial photography, you can find no evidence that there was ever a trail here, except in the lowest portion, which is on private land, completely and irretrievably closed to entry. The chaparral in this vicinity is old, hard, and impenetrable to anything larger than a rabbit. Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
