A beautiful lake like Seville Lake close to Sheep Camp Lakes is a glorious place to go to; Ball Dome is picturesque and can be made out from here. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Sheep Camp Lakes; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites Sequoia Kings Canyon is a good location to spend a night or two. Be careful coming to the Southern Sierra Nevada,

near Sheep Camp Lakes, and if you came for an overnight stay Aspen Hollow - Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park is a magnificent site to camp. Throughout the summertime at Sheep Camp Lakes temperatures are usually in the 70's with
nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Sheep Camp Lakes. The Southern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. That right there is a lot of amusing things already
but it goes on, the Southern Sierra Nevada has it all. The panoramas at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park will blow your mind, and a splendid place to have a look at is Silliman Pass. Camping is available at Log Bridge Campground, and get soaked paddling on Kaweah River - North Fork.

Leavis Flat - Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park
 | Leavis Flat- I loved it! Small campground, right next to Deer Creek, only 9 sites. You can buy ice and extra necessities just up the road at the California Hot Springs (resort?) No cell phone service, ranger comes by once a day, it's very mellow. You are roughing it unless you bring an RV. No showers or flush toilets. So beautiful. We were there for Memorial Wknd. Some locals said it's usually pretty empty but the campground was full for our trip. I've heard they might shut it down. Maybe it's not bringing in enough cash for the upkeep. I bathed in the creek. My boyfriend wasn't so brave, too cold for him. If you're planning on doing the sights at the Sequoia National Park, it's a two hour drive to Morro Rock to give you an idea. The creek is so pretty and the water is drinkable, not deep enough to swim but perfect to cool off. The mosquitoes weren't too bad and with the right company, it's the perfect setting to get totally away! My boyfriend has all the pics on his phone, but I'll come back and post them.... |
Moose Lake
 | This is a picture I took of Moose Lake on a lengthy loop hike in the Sequoias taking the Lakes trail past Heather, Astor, Emerald, and Pear Lakes; then cross country over the divide above Moose Lake where I took this photograph looking down on the lake. I then returned to the trailhead by going southwest over the divide down to the Alta Trail through Panther Gap back to the Lakes trailhead. A very long day hike. I took pictures along the entire route.... |

Boaters/swimmers etc. should not be encouraged to trespass onto private property to enter or exit the river....This river smells like dirty diapers and beer.... |
