This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley, and hey, Gotta ski right? Sierra at Tahoe is a nice place to do that. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Shealor Lakes while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Shealor Lakes overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the       10's. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Shealor Lakes. Get yourself into a kayak and hit American River - South Fork, and the slopes of Kirkwood are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Cone Acre Motel is a fine spot to get some rest, and not far from Shealor Lakes you'll come across Oyster Lake which is a scenic lake. All the water falling                  down from the sky makes Shealor Lakes a wet site; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest of the months is July. The Windmiller Trail offers hiking at its best, and you might also want to pay a visit to Porthole Gap since you're here at Shealor Lakes. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Shealor Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Tragedy Spring Campground is a good local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Emigrant Trail. There's good hiking along the Hawley Grade Trail, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Tragedy Spring. All year is a splendid time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you fancy the outdoors. If you come at the right time of year, Mokelumne River - North Fork offers some glorious whitewater. Lakes are perfect; Silver Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Shealor Lakes.
