Beautiful Shasta Lake has much to offer visitors. There are plenty of folks from Redding here at Shasta Lake, and if you have the time, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a national park worth checking out. Get covered with water paddling on Brandy Creek, and since you're here you can play some golf at Gold Hills Golf Club. From a rainfall point of view Shasta Lake is a reasonably normal site; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most

| | rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Ramada Limited Redding is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and why not go to nearby Big Backbone Creek Inlet since you're here at Shasta Lake. A lake nearby is Spring Creek Reservoir; close by you hit upon the Dry Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Twin View Inn & Suites; Shasta Dam is a beautiful location, without doubt worth a visit. | |

Having a wonderful time at Shasta Lake is trouble-free. If you came for an overnight stay Keswick Dam Trailer Park is a glorious site to camp, and Keswick Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. For the period of
the warmest time of the year here at Shasta Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in
the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Shasta Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary is so much fun; camping is available at Slaughterhouse Island Campground.

 | Beehive campground is pretty good, little rocky and if the water is down that can be a problem. The do have several outhouses there and it is easy to get to. Gregory Creek is better but has been closed for many years due to the eagles nesting. Invest in wasp traps! Bears are not to bad in the 3 years we have camped there only saw one and it was running from the lake. ... |
