Get covered with water paddling on Brandy Creek, and since you're here you can play some golf at Gold Hills Golf Club. From a rainfall point of view Shasta Lake is a reasonably normal site; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most       rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Ramada Limited Redding is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and why not go to nearby Big Backbone Creek Inlet since you're here at Shasta Lake. A lake nearby is Spring Creek Reservoir; close by you hit upon the Dry Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Shasta Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Shasta Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
