So many enjoyable things near Shasta Lake, completely mind-blowing. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is one of the destinations next to Shasta Lake that are good to go to, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Twin View Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. At Shasta Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall       down into the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's while Shasta Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Camping is available at Slaughterhouse Island Campground, and get drenched paddling on Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary. This is a popular spot for folks from Redding, and why not camp at Keswick Dam Trailer Park since you're here at Shasta Lake. Big Backbone Creek Inlet flows through this vicinity; Shasta                  Dam is a pretty site, absolutely worth checking out. The Dry Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Ramada Limited Redding is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Shasta Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful.
