A visit to Shadow Lake is always a good idea. Shadow Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Red Peak Trail. Camping is available at Eagle Falls Campground, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14.

| | close to Shadow Lake is time well spent, and paddling on American River - South Fork is so much fun. Shadow Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Shadow Lake. Float down the rapids of Silver Creek - South Fork in a kayak.

Lake. If you need a location to stay Granlibakken Resort is a delightful choice, and Jakes Peak is lovely and can be seen from here. So much amusing stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just striking. Everybody nearby loves skiing
at Sierra at Tahoe, and a scenic lake like Cliff Lake is a good site to stop at. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Meeks Bay Resort And Marina, and Phipps Pass is
also a great spot to explore.
Through the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at Shadow Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while Shadow Lake nighttime
low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Homewood is a delightful local ski area, and do take a hike on the General Creek Trail. A pleasant beach near Shadow Lake is Lester Beach, and if you came for an overnight stay General Creek Campground is a delightful spot to camp.
