Eagle Falls Campground is a fine local campground; if you desire a little side visit, try Phipps Pass. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back many times. Time spent at Lester Beach next to Shadow Lake is always great; Jakes Peak is clearly visible from Shadow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll       meet a lot of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here, and Homewood is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a good time. American River - South Fork is a glorious whitewater spot next to Shadow Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Meeks Bay Resort & Marina is a great location to camp. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Shadow Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes                  with highs in the 40's while Shadow Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. So many cool things to do here at Shadow Lake, too magnificent to be true. The General Creek Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Shadow Lake; nearby you find the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 which is a great hiking trail. After a long day outdoors Pine Cone Acre Motel is a good place to spend a night or two, and why not head up to Sierra at Tahoe and strap some skis to your feet. Shadow Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the snow is January while July is generally the driest month. Not far from Shadow Lake, you'll hit upon Stony Ridge Lake which is a beautiful lake; a day at delightful Calawee Cove Beach in close proximity to Shadow Lake is a perfect thing to do. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return home again. This lake is so wonderful. Granlibakken Lodge and Conference Center is a perfect location to get some rest. Lakes are tremendous; Hidden Lake is a lake that's near Shadow Lake.
