    A visit to Serena Lake is always a good idea. Serena Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Onion Creek Campground is a great location to camp nearby. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a magnificent time. There's good hiking along the Lola Montez Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Yuba River - South Fork. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Boreal is a good local ski area; Serena Lake is not  
   the only place close by, Dulzura Lake is a close by lake.
Summit Valley is a great spot to explore, and if you need a site to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a magnificent choice. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return back home again. Serena Lake is right by the Long Valley Trail; getting to Upper Castle Creek from Serena Lake is trouble-free. The skiing at Soda Springs is great, and Van Norden Campground is a
 
               fine local campground.
Summertime highs at Serena Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; nighttime lows during the winter for Serena Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. The Heath Falls Overlook Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Truckee, Ca.
Serena Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; during January this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Serena Lake, you could also explore nearby Ice Lakes, and get covered with water paddling on Fordyce Creek.
