Scotts Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. So much cool stuff to do at Scotts Lake, so little time. Gotta ski! Heavenly is a magnificent spot to do that; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend       Mokelumne River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Scotts Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kit Carson Campground is a splendid place for that, and Pine Cone Acre Motel is a good place to get some rest. Scotts Lake is a rather wet place usually with a great deal of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. Just can't get enough of Scotts Lake. Why not spend                  some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Tahoe Paradise Golf Course, and if you come at the right time of year, Carson River - East Fork offers some good whitewater. Having a good time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is easy. Grass Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and the Charity Valley Trail offers hiking at its best. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Everybody close by loves skiing at Kirkwood; you might also want to pay a visit to Luther Pass while you're here at Scotts Lake. If you need a place to stay Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a brilliant choice; from Scotts Lake you acquire a splendid vista of Waterhouse Peak. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Scotts Lake has to offer, you can camp at Alpine Campground. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Scotts Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and overnight lows at Scotts Lake through the winter usually drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
