One of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of Lake Schmidell is Crystal Range, and there's some flowing water close by, Phipps Creek is a stream you can explore while here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Highland Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; why not camp at Eagle Falls Campground since you're here at Lake Schmidell.       The dominant feature in the vicinity is the Crystal Range; hiking along the Red Peak Trail is magnificent fun. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too magnificent to be true. Don’t forget to take a look at Camper Flat if you're here at Lake Schmidell, and Four-Q Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Throughout the summer months, highs                  regularly are in the 70's at Lake Schmidell. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's, and night lows throughout the winter for Lake Schmidell tend to be in the 10's. An average amount of precipitation falls at Lake Schmidell; January is the wettest month with most snow; July is the month with the least moisture. All year is a good time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you love the outdoors. If you come at the right time of year, American River - South Fork offers some great whitewater, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. This lake is so wonderful. Rockbound Pass is a great location to look at, and Bayview Campground is a great local campground. Lake Schmidell is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be.
