Any time is a great time at Saxonia Lake if you love the outdoors. On a gorgeous day you obtain a sight of Sierra Buttes from Saxonia Lake, and you can run the rapids of Lavezzola Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Diablo Campground is a good site to camp, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Butcher Ranch Trail. A typical amount       of rainfall falls here at Saxonia Lake; throughout the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; Saxonia Lake is not the only location nearby, Upper Sardine Lake is a nearby lake. There's just                  no way anyone can get bored here at Saxonia Lake. It's a delightful idea to check out Church Creek, it's in close proximity to Saxonia Lake, and there's whitewater on Yuba River - North Fork for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; a lake close by is Mud Lake. There's some interesting stuff to catch a sight of at Packer Dam in the neighborhood of Saxonia Lake, and Lusk Meadows is a fine site. That right there is a load of fun things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Camping is available at Berger Campground; since you're here you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15. If you need a site to stay Deer Creek Inn is a nice choice, and Royal Gorge has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. Summer at Saxonia Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's.
