From a rain point of view Saucer Lake is a pretty normal spot; January is the month that gets the most snow; July is when it's the driest. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Hawley Grade Trail, and Silver Creek - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. At Saucer Lake you can catch a glimpse of Angora Peak; if you came to camp Fortyfive Mile Campground is a magnificent spot to do that.
And

if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. No need to travel far to have a look at exciting stuff like Indian Rock. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Saucer Lake has it all. Camping at Firs Campground is always a pleasant experience, and a pleasant journey to Huckleberry Flat is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. If you're visiting Saucer Lake from Gardnerville Ranchos, you won't
be the only one, and unsurprisingly, this is a glorious vicinity for people who like lakes, Cup Lake is a lake in the neighborhood.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Windmiller Trail, and everyone close by loves skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. And that's not all you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Saucer Lake; General Creek Trail is a nice local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Pistantes Coyote Den is a brilliant choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Kirkwood is a fine spot to do that.
This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Aspen Creek is a delightful site to pop by; a round of golf at nearby Tahoe Paradise Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - South Fork, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Upper Echo Lake is just a very short distance away. Saucer Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
