Ryland Dam is worth a visit while you're here, and a lake nearby is Howell Reservoir. Carbonero Creek RV Park is a great campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Toll House, a Larkspur Hotel. And that's not all you can do here at Laguna del Sargento. San Lorenzo River is a great whitewater spot close to Laguna del Sargento. So many exciting things in the Santa Cruz Mountains,       just inspiring. After a long day outdoors Best Western Inn Scotts Valley is a great location to spend a night or two, and the top of Beehive is easily observed from Laguna del Sargento. If you get bored of Laguna del Sargento, you could also take a look at close by Lexington Reservoir; going for a hike on the Rincon Fire Road Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Laguna del Sargento sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through January this area sees the                  most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summer at Laguna del Sargento arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; the nighttime is a little colder of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's while Laguna del Sargento overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail is a perfect location close to Laguna del Sargento, and Scotts Valley Golf Course is a magnificent golf course nearby. During your trip to Laguna del Sargento you'll meet some people from Santa Cruz-Watsonville for sure, and don't leave Laguna del Sargento without first going for a hike along the Sequoia Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant sites to look at along the Summit Trail, and hey, Hendrys Creek is a brilliant local stream. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area next to Laguna del Sargento has to offer. Nearby Hooker Gulch is a great site to go if you're at Laguna del Sargento; you can stay the night at Santa Cruz Ranch RV Park.
