All the water falling down from the sky makes Laguna del Sargento a wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. The Santa Cruz Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This spot, the Santa Cruz Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A lake nearby is Lexington Reservoir, and       going for a hike on the Rincon Fire Road Trail is always a good adventure. The warmest time of the year at Laguna del Sargento comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows at Laguna del Sargento all through the wintertime regularly dip into the 30's. Just can't get enough of Laguna del Sargento. A tour to Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail is                  recommended. So many fun things to do in the Santa Cruz Mountains, not enough time. If you came for an overnight stay Santa Cruz Ranch RV Park is a tremendous site to camp; you acquire a tremendous panorama of Beehive from here. Hendrys Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and Best Western Inn Scotts Valley is a wonderful spot to get some rest. But wait, there's more to do next to Laguna del Sargento. Camping is available at Carbonero Creek RV Park, and if you're here, you might as well visit Hooker Gulch. Laguna del Sargento is not far at all from Santa Cruz-Watsonville; you can go for a hike on the Sequoia Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Howell Reservoir since you're here at Laguna del Sargento; it's nearby, and not far from Laguna del Sargento you obtain some magnificent water scenery at Ryland Dam. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Scotts Valley Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Toll House, a Larkspur Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two.
