     Sapphire Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Sapphire Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Big Flat Campground is a pleasant place to camp nearby; naturally, this is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes, Moraine Lake is a lake close at hand. The amount of rain that falls at Sapphire Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout  
   December, and July is the month with the least moisture.
If you come at the right time of year, Trinity River - North Fork offers some fine whitewater, and there's nice hiking along the Tanners Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sapphire Lake without first going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sapphire Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ripstein Campground. You assume that's enough? Just
 
               getting warmed up. The peak of Caesar Peak can be seen from Sapphire Lake, and a tour to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is recommended.
Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Klamath Mountains. High temperatures at Sapphire Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Sapphire Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - South Fork; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Little South Fork Lake.
