There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Sapphire Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Big Flat Campground is a pleasant place to camp nearby; naturally, this is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes, Moraine Lake is a lake close at hand. The amount of rain that falls at Sapphire Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout       December, and July is the month with the least moisture. If you come at the right time of year, Trinity River - North Fork offers some fine whitewater, and there's nice hiking along the Tanners Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sapphire Lake without first going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sapphire Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ripstein Campground. You assume that's enough? Just                  getting warmed up. The peak of Caesar Peak can be seen from Sapphire Lake, and a tour to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is recommended.
