    If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Santiago Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Santiago Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Flying B Ranch is a good location for that; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Irvine Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Residence Inn By Marriott Anaheim Hills is a good spot to spend a night or two, and Mt.  
   Baldy is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Santiago Reservoir is a location that is quite dry frequently; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest.
Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Santa Ana Mountains. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Santiago Reservoir called the Joplin Trail, and golf can be played at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.
 
               Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Santa Ana Mountains is peerless! If you fancy a little side trip, try Blind Canyon; glorious water scenery is available at Santiago Dam in close proximity to Santiago Reservoir. At Santiago Reservoir you always meet someone from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana; Santiago Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Silverado Ranch RV Park is a brilliant local campground.
That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Santiago Reservoir has it all. If you need a location to stay Ayres Suites Yorba Linda is a delightful choice; the Morrow Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Near Santiago Reservoir you stumble on the Holy Jim Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and as expected, this is a nice region for people who like lakes, Peters Canyon Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity. Through the summer at Santiago Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 90's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Santiago Reservoir.
The Santa Ana Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
