The beauty of Santa Ynez Lake attracts many people from all around. Channel Road Inn is a good place to get some rest, and Malibu Creek State Park is a tremendous campground nearby. Not much precipitation falls here at Santa Ynez Lake; most of the rain falls through January, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Parker Canyon is a delightful spot to explore nearby; if you're here, you could also stop at charming Mount Olivet

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
